The Czech mountains are still covered with snow and the cross country skiing season is yet far from over, but in the lowlands around Prague the spring is for real. Already the first little bouquets of snowdrops appeared on stalls by the main railway station, a traditional sign that spring and the fishing season is about to begin...
I surely hope that you are right. Up here in Sweden it might be warm during the day sometimes but then the cold comes back again. Really longing to play a trout or grayling soon. Thanks for your nice post. Lovely picture!

Aaargh... The lucky guys in England and the Balkans have opened their season already, I expect to be fishing soon but the wait in Sweden must be difficult!

You have my sympathy, too; April is long way off...
DeleteOver here the main Salmonid season opens on April 16th, but we have some "coarse" waters that contain Browns and Rainbows (I do my best to avoid Grayling from December to June) and of course the stockie puddles. These are not my cup of tea, but I plan to hit one this weekend out of sheer desperation :)
Cheers!
